ABOUT

The Palucca University of Dance Dresden was founded by Gret Palucca in 1925. It is the sole independent University of Dance in Germany. Placing the individual as the center, programs are offered to train as a dancer, 9-year Program completed with a BA Degree, Choreographer, 2-year MA Choreography, dance teacher, 3-year work-study MA Degree, an Artistic Master Class and an Apprentice Program with the Semperoper Ballet. The curriculum is built upon the three pillars of ballet, contemporary, modern dance, and improvisation. The goal is to find a common approach and the combination of theory and practice in all programs. The students are encouraged to develop independent, creative thinking, in order to apply techniques as keys to artistic freedom.
